Despite the circumstances, he was unfazed and even began to write with greater ambition. The Bodley Head publishing company issued a 1920 edition of this work. The novel ended with Sherloch Holmes, a detective created by the renowned author Conan Doyle, and introduced Detective Poirot, a fresh and new detective. She followed a young lady in 1926 because she thought her husband had been unfaithful to her. Knowing this to be true, she made the decision to end their relationship.
