There are about 300,000 people living in Bonn, which is connected to North Rhine-Westphalia, one of Germany’s most populous states.

As a result of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Germany’s eastern border, which was known as East Germany until 1990, reverted to German identity.

These businesses and institutions include DAX, Deutsche Post, DHL, and Deutsche Telekom. The United Nations’ institutions are also located in the city.
